I am a doctoral candidate in Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford.
I am also Deputy Director, Women's Economic Empowerment at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where I lead the foundation’s global strategy and portfolio strengthening data architecture and deepening research and evidence for women’s economic empowerment programming and policymaking. Prior to joining the Gender Equality team in 2019, I anchored research and evaluation portfolios for the foundation on nutrition, digital, youth and gender in India. Previously, I worked in public policy research and design for J-PAL, Innovations for Poverty Action, World Bank, Planning Commission of India and other non-profit organizations in India, Morocco and Bangladesh I have a Master's in International and Development Economics from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Mount Holyoke College.
